Gold And Double Gold For Perdeberg Cellar At Veritas
Consistency is key when it comes to producing premium wines, which bears testament to the passionate Perdeberg Cellar team, who scooped two Double Gold and three Gold medals at this year’s Veritas Awards. A highlight on the industry calendar, this year’s star-studded event took place on Friday, 13 October – unlucky for some, but without a doubt lucky indeed for Perdeberg. This year a total of 81 Double Gold and 179 Gold medals were awarded, which saw a total of 1 247 wines being entered in this year’s competition.
This year’s deserving wines were:
Gold
2023 Vineyard Collection Pinot Noir Chardonnay
2020 The Dry Land Collection Joseph’s Legacy
2019 The Dry Land Collection Natural Sweet Chenin Blanc
Double Gold
2022 The Dry Land Collection Barrel Fermented Chenin Blanc
2021 The Dry Land Collection Fortified Chenin Blanc
This recent win follows hot on the heels of the 2023 Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards, where The Dry Land Collection Fortified Chenin Blanc took honours as the competition’s Trophy Winner in its relevant category.
“Not only does this latest recognition reaffirm why we are regarded as the Home of Chenin Blanc™, but it reinforces our dedication to producing premium wines, with Mother Nature playing the leading role,” says Marketing Manager, Chantelle Boucher.
