Buy your tickets: Pinotage And Biltong Festival – A Sea Of Purple And White – 29&30 July 2023.

Get your purple and white outfits ready, contact your friends and obtain your tickets for the 2023 Pinotage and Biltong Festival at the Alleé Bleue Estate between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

Dates and Times:  Saturday 29 July and Sunday 30 July from 11h00-16h00.

Eighteen wineries will have in the region of 30 different Pinotage wines available for tasting and to purchase.  These wines are produced in different styles, from White Pinotage to Bubbly, Rosé, traditional red Pinotage and even a Port-style wine made from this true South African varietal. Each winery will have at least one wine which is paired with one of the nine types of biltong and dry wors by OMG Biltong. 

Ticketholders will have the opportunity to taste Pinotage from Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Rawsonville, Paarl, Worcester and Wellington, all under one roof at Alleé Bleue in their ‘The Grand Hall’. The participating wineries are Alleé Bleue, Beyerskloof Wines, Boland Cellar, Diemersfontein Wines, Doolhof Estate, Du Toitskloof Wines, Groenland Wines, Hill & Dale, Hoopenburg Wines, Kanu Wines, Koelenhof Wine Cellar, Leopard’s Leap Wines, Mellasat Vineyards, Neethlingshof Estate, Organic wines by Sophie Germanier, Overhex Wines and Perdeberg Cellar.  The nine types of biltong are Yellow Fat, Caravan Smokey, Free Range Dry Wors, Lean Kalahari, Springbok, Lemon Pepper, Venison Dry Wors, Kudu, and Hunters Chilli.

Fast food, presented by the Alleé Bleue Kitchen and Let’s Friet will be available to purchase, and the a la carte menu in the Alleé Bleue Restaurant will also have specially prepared dishes should people want to enjoy a sit-down lunch.  Items on the fast-food list include a variety of pizzas, cheese & meat platters, and boerewors rolls.  All the Alleé Bleue food offerings are available on a non-cash basis.

Guy Feldman and his band – duly named Mista Guy and The Biltong Band – will make this a day in the winelands to remember.  Dress yourself in purple and white and stand a chance to win one of various spot prices on both days. 

Tickets are available on the ticketing website Quicket.  Regular tickets are R350pp and VIP tickets are R550 pp.

General tickets include entrance into the Grand Hall, seating outside, a crystal Pinotage & Biltong wine glass, 18 selected Pinotage & Biltong pairings plus another host of wines which can also be tasted and purchased.  Biltong is separately packed into bags with 9 x 20 gram packets with the name of each biltong on the different types. 

VIP tickets will include everything as per the regular tickets plus comfortable seating in a dedicated area, a welcoming glass of bubbles, light cheese platter on arrival, service personnel, late-afternoon coffee and something sweet to end the day off.
